Measuring the Universe is a terrific visual bite of knowledge created by Hohokum/Wild Rumpus/Frobisher Says artist extraordinaire Richard Hogg for the Royal Observatory Greenwich, delivering a succinct graphical explanation for how we are able to calculate the distance between us and the expanding universe around us. Truly wonderful.

If you’re a sales hound, today is the day for you! Over 400 games are available at sale price thanks to the Because We May sale, initiated by World of Goo’s Ron Carmel and a handful of our favorite Indie devs. Discounted games include many of my personal favorites! Such as…

And so many more! In addition to iPhone/iPad/Apple games, there are plenty of games across Android, Steam, PC and more. Just check out the site!

Oh, and I also did the logo and pattern illustration. So that’s pretty cool too. *toots a horn that belongs to me*

FEZ is on it’s way to an Xbox near you this Friday, April 13! Can you guys believe it?! And while you’re counting down the days, go on and pre-order the FEZ OST by Disasterpeace. You’ll get six early tracks to feast your ears upon, and boy is it some quality stuff.

Molyjam, a game jam built around @PeterMolydeux’s tremendous game design tweets, was held last weekend, turning out quite a selection of imaginative and original independently developed games made over 48 hours. I haven’t had a chance to check them all out, but Unbearable, Or: How They Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bear  (based on this tweetis too funny. It sas a great Tom Goes to the Mayor feel about it (which you all know I love), and I can’t help but let out a laff or two when my buddy Greg Rice get’s bear-hugged-to-death.

Well done team Unbearable!

YOU GUYS. Indies Vlambeer have finally released their beloved arcade game Super Crate Box on iOS. If you want to experience tight, effective and FUN game design, I’m sure you can dish out the $0.99 (is that really it!?) to buy it.
My one complaint is that the d-pad isn’t spot-on in terms of player control (that stuff always seems to be tricky), but nevertheless the game is still a lot of fun.

Calm your senses in 2D, and then, in 3D, with the game FEZ’s most recently revealed “Long Screenshot”.

Creator of Halycon and Bit Pilot, Zach Gage recently released his newest game for the iPad SpellTower, and it’s a total winner. Elegantly designed, this word game is reminiscent of Scrabble mixed with Tetris and feels great to play. Highly recommended and addicting! I spent almost 2 hours playing it yesterday, and at $1.99, it’s a steal.
