In honor of famed animator Hayao Miyazaki’s birthday, Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner posted this sketch he did in 2009 while attending Miyazaki’s panel at Comic-Con. 
Notice first that Mechner’s sketches are wonderful. Notice second the lovely little story written bottom right:

This girl stood in line through the whole panel and when her turn came to asia  question, asked with trembling hands why Miyazaki chose female protagonists for his movies? He answer through his interpreter: “Because women are strong and beautiful.” She went away in a daze with an expression of ecstasy on her face.
